Busy First Weekend of 2012

This is not my day job.

Although I'm a software engineer by profession, I do more of software development focusing on software testing and none of the software installation and configuration.

On the first weekend of 2012, I found myself repairing permissions on my MacBook Pro that's been acting up all week and restoring Windows Vista on a friend's laptop that crashed due to a virus. This definitely takes some time to do instead of having lone time with a book or doing some household chores. He did offer to buy me pizza and coffee later as a form of goodwill. A good form of payment to all the trouble, I guess.
