Friendship and Love

RAMBLE ALERT!! This is the blip that will send you to sleep!

Today's theme are two of the things that make me very happy. This photo captures both, because those are made my my friend LeeAnne, who's one of the most thoughtful people I know.

The last couple of months of 2011 were pretty much horrendous - I split from my boyfriend, had so many car problems you honestly wouldn't believe, mourned the unexpected loss of a very dear friend, discovered I was going to be a grandma but then sadly found that wasn't meant to be this time... The list went on and on. Yet throughout it all, the love, support and thoughtfulness from my family and wonderful friends really kept me going.

LeeAnne had told me (on yet another bad day) in December that she was sending me some love in the post. The two big hearts were for my youngest daughter and me, and the little one was made for my eldest daughter's "Bean". Sadly, that Bean wasn't meant to be, but I'm keeping the love safe for the next one. They all made me smile a lot, and continue to do so.

Today I'm mostly feeling warm inside about how lucky I am to have such amazing friends, and such beautiful, funny, downright fabulous children.

Tonight I'm driving my youngest and 3 of her friends to a party, and once I've dropped them there I'm going to the ex boyfriend's house. My intention is to talk properly about why we split up and to hopefully sort things out. If we can do that, it will be amazeballs... If we can't, then at least a) I'll know that I tried, and b) I can deal with it properly and move on with my life and make sure 2012 continues to be wonderful. Actually I'll make sure of that either way :O)

Oh, I've also messed around with this pic slightly. I downloaded a new app today called Camera+ which I'm hoping will help me to blog with some more professional less amateurish photos.
