With the childminding there are things that I have to do occasionally that wouldn't be a normal part of our day. Today we had our first fire drill. I warned Amelia, Jack and Erin that it was going to happen and reminded them what they would need to do but they wouldn't know when it was. I actually did it whilst they were painting as they weren't expecting it at all. They were all brilliant and walked outside quickly and quietly and waited by the play house until I said they could come back in. So proud of them for taking it seriously and they each got a certificate and a picture to colour in with fire engines etc on.
