Penalty

Hearts v Auchinleck Talbot in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup. This was the first game of football I had gone to since 1994/5....sad to say this is the whole of the first half action caught in a single frame....ok maybe it needed two but the synopsis runs....

Hearts won a penalty, the keeper saved it low to his right.

In truth I am surprised that it is a colour photo as my memory tells me that the game was played out in black and white: monochrome monotony, an awful game of football. Two hours of my life that I can never reclaim....if there is a purgatory then maybe I am due two hours holiday from it........
