Cake - take 2

As a result of yesterday's 'flat cake' disaster (a fault of the recipe, not the chef- honest guv!), Mr CleanSlate and no.1 son were despatched early this morning to procure a new, more 'full bodied' cake, before Grandma and Grandad, Cousjns etc arrived. No.2 son has had another lovely day, playing and treasure-hunting and generally being king of the castle.

In his mind, his conviction that every day will be his birthday, has today been confirmed! Tomorrow more Grandparents arrive, so I see this ending badly somewhere around Monday ;-)

And yes, that is pear on his chin! Even on his birthday, I make him eat fruit before treats *hangs head in shame*
