Journeys day by day

Live from the Junco diner

Etiquette lesson for the day: don't talk with your mouth full.

Today was not an exciting day in the bird world, at least not in my backyard. Except, of course, for the juncos. They are reliably present every day, from dawn to dusk. The day was darkly grey, so not a great day for photography either. I'm still learning what settings work best in what light, and give me a day like this and I'm milking what I can out of my camera to get the best blip with the least noise from settings and zoom.

Have some stew going in the slow cooker, lit a fire in the wood stove, and have football on the tele. All this after a relaxing 2 hour reflexology session with a pedicure. My toenails are now "mood ring", which I'd have to say is pretty accurate. A good relaxing day...now, just need to figure out if tomorrow should be back to Nisqually or Zoo.
