The Moon

I've wanted to get a good picture of the moon for ages and never succeeded.

For some reason it never comes out in sharp focus, it was a perfectly clear night and an almost full moon (about 98%) so I gave it another go. Once again it didn't come out as sharp as it appeared in my viewfinder.

This was taken using my 500mm mirror lens propped on a wheelie bin, I'm hoping when I get home I can get sharper images using a proper tripod.
