It's not all bleak mid-winter

I find it reassuring when the first flowers appear each year (tho' a bit disconcerting that this is getting earlier than it should be). This is the winter jasmine that obscures a concrete wall and reliably brings a welcome sprinkle of colour this time of year. It's been flowering for a few weeks now.

It also reliably roots if the stems touch the ground - bit like dragons' teeth; so if anyone would like some...


Now, I must stop playing with the camera and get back to the accounts, tax form, newsletter, blah, ...
