Purple Sky

Just as we arrived back at the house, at the back of 4.00. Cathleen pointed out that the light was very strange.

And it was - the sky had a purple tinge which became, for a few minutes, more and more intense. The day had been very grey and misty, with a constant drizzle so I don't know whether this phenomenon was an interaction between the setting sun and the complete cloud cover, or if it had another cause.

But it was, briefly, spectacular.
