50mm rediscovered

Today I got out my 50mm 1.8f for the first time in a very very long time. I guess it stopped going in the camera bag when there wasnt room or when I was cutting down weight or something and just never went back in. The focusing on it is noisy and not great, this probably contributed to its neglect.

Taking a few shots of the kids painting at the kitchen table this morning I have remembered the low depth of field this lens can get. I have mainly been using my 70-300L for low DOF stuff.

Perhaps this lens needs some more playing with... well either that or sell it and get the 50mm 1.4 :-)
