The Lake at Trentham Gardens, Staffordshire

Another super day out with a great friend. Trentham is about halfway between where we live and so we try and catch up from time to time. A walk, a glance at the shopping outlet, lunch, and lots of teas and coffees and putting the world to rights.

The original gardens were designed by Capability Brown, and the lake is stunning. Work is ongoing on the Italian Gardens (blipped several times) and increasingly the area is becoming a popular place to spend a happy family Sunday.

They have now cleared a path all the way round and we started our day out with the two mile walk, with rain and drizzle at times, and with stunningly interesting light at others.

Of course, I took my camera and tried to capture the changing colours.
