Hope

This sculpture is by Eduardo Paolozzi and sits outside St Marys Cathedral in Edinburgh, where I was attending the funeral of a young child. It was an immensly sad service as his death was totally unexpected and very sudden.

L had a very enjoyable time learning all about Palozzi in Primary 1 with trips to Gallery of Modern Art to speak to one of his ex-students who now works there and see the reconstruction of his studio that sits in the Dean Gallery (or Gallery of Modern Art 2 as I think it is known know). He still points this out whenever we go past it and talks all about his day and all he learnt. It was especially poignant today as the funeral we attended was for a little boy the same age as L was when he was learning about Paolozzi.
