Candle Party

We had a welcome back BBQ for Matty today - he just moved back from New Zealand. Andy does love an excuse to smoke meats! We also had some nice snowfall to go with the day.

Shortly before dinner, the power went out, came back on and went out again. It was then out for most of the night. On the up-side, we had a lot of candles we could light. On the down-side, the smoker is electric. Luckily the ribs were almost done, so could be finished on the grill. We also relocated the beer outside in the snow.

Halfway through eating, the power came back on. The unanimous decision was to turn off all the lights and continue on with our candle-lit evening. It was quite nice! We so enjoyed our power-less evening, that we think we will have another (hopefully artificial this time!) candle-party
