A flying visit to the Ducks
The Valley Gardens ponds ( the large pond shown here, and the small pond under the bridge) have been a place for play, reflection and recreation for Scarborians for over a hundred years.
For many years, I believe, these were the only free public gardens in a town which boasted a good few subscription-only gardens, for the exclusive use of local and visiting gentry.
Usually a visit to 'The Valley' would involve bread, for the feeding of ducks, (and geese and moor hens, as well as visiting seagulls) but today I was there only to take photos.
A long day of waiting for news, but finally at 8pm the hoped for good news came!
