My Gran

She is 96 years young and unfortunately can no longer walk. The realisation of the implications of this has upset Dan as 'she won't be able to see any new things'. For him, so young and so inquisitive, the thought that could happen to anyone is sad. We want to protect our children from harsh realities but they creep in anyway.

The plus side though she has gotten to know Dan and CJ her great grandchildren and they her. When Dan was born Gran came through with me the first time I changed a nappy in her house. She had never seen a disposable nappy and was totally fascinated by this new 'invention'. She wished they had been invented a lot sooner!!
