Mount Vernon

I spent the day at George Washington's Mount Vernon today, my first time there since my parents took me there as a child. Richard is on the board of an organization that is trying to purchase and preserve another Washington family property. They have a loose association with Mount Vernon, so today I had the chance to tag along for the special tour that they had arranged. The house is beautiful, but it is also both much smaller and more rustic than I remembered!
