Day 11 - Napier
Had a big storm through the night and into the morning, 3" plus of rain in 12 hours.
It stopped early enough to have a walk round Napier. Destroyed by a large earthquake in the early 30's, it was rebuilt in the Art Deco style. Unusually for New Zealand, much of it has survived through to the present day.
I don't know what this car is, but you can hire it for tours around the town.
The tree behind has the lovely lilac blossom of the jacaranda tree.
