The Wonderful Malcolm

I am back to blipping after an extremely emotional three weeks in Scotland.

My dear father-in-law sadly and very suddenly died on 19th December from a heart attack. To say it was a shock is a huge understatement. Anyone and everyone who knew or came across Malcolm, witnessed how full of life and fun he was. This is the Grandad who skied four times last year, who was body-boarding with us in Cornwall in April, who would run circles around my kids in the park!!

We are still finding it hard to accept he is gone. Although both my parents died relatively young, both were very ill prior to their death. As a result, I never went through any denial following their deaths. This is very different!

Despite this sadness over Christmas and New Year, we still had a lovely time with our families - no snow this year though. In fact it was mild, windy but mild!!

The children had a wonderful time with all our relatives and I have to say they were a complete credit to us throughout!
