The Arrival Of The Kings...

... or Queens!

When rakane and katkatkat were young we had a Rector who encouraged the children in the congregation to dress up as kings (or queens) and take part in the Epiphany service on the first Sunday after 6th January. He told how this was the day we assigned to the arrival of the wise men or Magi to visit the new-born King.

My girls loved to take part in this and I loved to put a lot of effort into turning dressing gowns into royal robes!
