This horse has a rather nasty-looking tumour under its left eye. The mass is a sarcoid - a skin tumour of horses thought to be viral in origin, which is being treated by covering it with cytotoxic cream to kill the tumour cells. Unpleasant treatment, painful in most cases, but very successful at curing this horrible condition.
