Day 13 - Havelock
Had a gentle voyage from Wellington across to Picton. The landscape became far more rugged as soon as we entered the fjord-like inlet from the open sea.
Headed south from Picton down the beautiful Queen Charlotte Drive to Havelock, the Green Lipped Mussel capital of the world.
The Mussel Pot is the place to sample the local bounty. I had mine steamed in white wine and garlic, washed down with a glass of the local dark beer.
Lovely.
Spending the next couple of nights in Nelson.
