The Moon

The moon, nearly full but no Sixpence (none the richer), no Somerset Maugham, nor is it underwater . It's just doing its best to compete with street-lighting and other light pollution.

It's looking small, too, so maybe that is to do with apogee or perhaps because its set against man-made features? When its close to the horizon, during its' perigee, it can loom so large you feel as if you could reach out and touch it. Wherever it is, it's such a mystical and powerful thing having all sorts of influence over us.
