Kilbrannan Dusk
Back down to Carradale this afternoon after a couple of days attending to domestic matters and catching up with friends. Had hoped the clouds might break and had timed our departure to be at West Loch Tarbert at sunset. However, it wasn't to be and there was no sign of the sun.
As we turned onto the single track road to Carradale, the B842 or "Wee Road" as its known locally, it was headlights on and watch out for the main hazards - potholes and deer. Saw none of the latter but encountered plenty of the former. There were also a couple of Woodcock that flew up from the undergrowth at the side of the road.
As we approached Grogport the lights of Carradale could be seen in the distance with some lovely pink clouds above the horizon (best viewed in LARGE). The waters of the Kilbrannan sound looked cold and a couple of Carradale fishing boats could just be made out heading for the harbour (you will be doing well if you can see them!).
There seems to be a pink theme going on here - wonder if it will continue?
