Drum rolls of thunder

The build up came rather quickly, and the wind blew, even though the radio news said it would by-pass us. Five minutes after taking this shot at 19h00, the heavens opened up over parts of the East Rand as the thunder continued to roll, and sheets of lightning filled the sky.

25mm in under an hour, to add to the 130mm already recorded in my rain gauge at home for 2012 so far.
