Candle Lite

Bought at one of those interminable PartyLite candle parties where 'premium products inspire you to create the perfect ambience all throughout the year'.

Hmm. And persuade you to spend a lot of money on things you don't really need/want/use.

Apologies to any PartyLite fans out there... although I confess I actually do quite like this candle holder!

Things I've learned today:

1. Don't set up shots with an emphasis on clever lighting on your knackered old kitchen table
2. Don't leave the background to chance (in this case revealing a shadowy outline of kitchen curtains)
3. Do clean the glass in your candle holder before attempting a shot
4. Do possibly even splash out on a new candle to avoid looking like a cheapskate
