Doing What I Do

Today's major op was the amputation of a cat's hind leg. It had suffered a broken femur a few weeks ago, which was pinned and had healed well, but unfortunately the cat never recovered the power in its lower leg. The kindest thing was to remove the whole leg to allow the cat to learn to walk on three instead of having to drag its paralysed leg. The op went very well, and the cat was already walking about this afternoon - if a little wobbly while it adjusts to the change in balance. A good feeling to be able to help!
