Need to relax
After a good start to the day with a surprisingly early rise (it is Sunday and we attended a wedding last night), we made it over to Darlington to catch our train back up to Edinburgh. All was well back home and we got in some nice food for dinner as I'm going to be away til Thursday night (thus surviving on take out and restaurants). Still going well. Chilled out for a bit with some nice coffee and amazing (an thoroughly authentic) Turkish Delight - the hazelnut was a particular highlight. Then set about putting on food.
Flash.
Half the stuff's off.
Something's shorted the place.
Flick the circuit breaker, get everything back on. Get oven back on - hope dinner isn't too mucked about by it, but it was only off for a bit...
Why's the oven not very hot.
Bollocks.
It was the oven that shorted the place.
15 years old - not sure that's worth repairing.
Food is a goner. Bugger.
Chinese - the new Hot Kung Foo?
Done.
And now some lovely flowering tea from the equally lovely Melissa at Choitime. Met her at Taste of Christmas in December, and she has some really nice teas.
Ahhhhhh, nice and relaxed now.
Bugger, need to pack a bag...
