Candles In The Dark

These candles seem to float in the dark. Sometimes that is exactly how I feel. Like I am floating in the dark. What I can see is only what is right there.

Don and Mary came today to measure and prepare to put the tile in my kitchen. It is the last stage of my mini remodel. They are a married team of remodelers and told me tonight that they are celebrating their fortieth anniversary this year.

They have been working in my town house on various projects over the last year. I thought they were newlyweds, an older couple starting over together. When I shared that with them, they said they are having just as much fun and are just as much in love as the day they met. I took some pictures of them, but picture taking and trying to figure out tile design and layout left me with a bunch of out of focus and under or over exposed pictures that came no where near capturing Don and Mary.

I love having them in my house and they do amazing work. They'll be back.
