today was quite the adventure.
Today went really, really, really great.
Meghan, Kaitlin and I went and bought fans for my mom and Meg's rooms and then headed to the beautiful, people filled Garden State Plaza.
MegHan had to get shoes and a dress for her grad school graduation which is on Friday.
While at the mall we also just picked up a dress for my aunt for her son's wedding which is in April. We saw it and thought that she may like it so we sent her a picture of it and she told us to buy it for her. Normal.
When we returned from our mall adventures we swung by our house and picked my mom up for our next adventures and dropped Kate off since our adventures would include dogs and she is allergic.
We brought the dress to my aunt's house and it looked SO SO SO good on her. I hope that she wears it to the wedding!
Afterwards we got a cake and headed over to my grandparent's house since today was my Grandie's 80th birthday. Unfortunately, the birthday girl was sleeping.
Also unfortunately, my Pa informed us that their house did not have heat.
We ran to my Aunt Eileen's and got 2 space heaters for their house until we could get someone there to fix the heat, which will not be until tomorrow. BOO.
When we returned Meghan and I set up the space heaters while my mom remade my Grandpa's bed with extra blankets so he wouldn't be cold.
After all of these adventures we were sitting around chatting with my Pa when i realized that there was an extremely terrible smell surrounding us. Turns out that while my mother (who HATES dogs) was making my grandpa's bed in a room with the lights off, she stepped in my aunt's dogs poop.
Luckily for her, she had her two animal loving daughters with her and we stood outside on the freezing porch scrubbing her sneakers, yes she managed to COVER both shoes, how? The world may never know. So we stood outside shivering and gagging. It was delightful.
We didn't even get home for dinner until after 9.
WHAT a day.
