Six swans a-grooming

Lunchtime stroll by the river on a bright, sunshiney day. Six swans ducking and diving, too far away for me to get a decent shot. Until they suddenly all started to glide toward the riverbank just beneath the wall I was sat on. It would have been rude not to take advantage of them showing off their plumage.

None of them were pure white, so perhaps technically they are still cygnets. The full set of pics can be seen here.

I guess this is another example of those great opportunities that come by when we are least expecting them, for which we should remember to give thanks.

And it seems like every other pub, bar, coffee shop I walk by is offering exhibition space ....
