Home on the range.

It's good to be back home. Spent 3-4 hours with Gaby in A&E last night and then back to another hospital today with her. She had a problem with a contact lens which she thought was still in the eye but couldn't get it out - it was feeling gritty and stuck up. A&E doc said he'd numb the eye then try a cotton swab - then went on to use a needle to pick it up.

It turns out that he was actually picking up bits of cornea, not contact lens!

- Faint!!

So after an emergency visit to the ophthalmology dept who were brilliant, she feels a little better, but still in pain. More pain obviously than before she walked through the hospital door in the first place:) She now has a patch over one eye and is completely knocked out. On top of that, she won't be able to take the exam she was to do tomorrow, so she'll have to do that at the retake session in May or June, which she is really annoyed about.

Hopefully we'll have a normal night tonight, which includes sleep and not hanging around A&E at 2am!
