Trunk Root
Cleaning up after last week's storms at Edinburgh Botanic Gardens. I took a look around today, impressed with the serious machinery in use to chip the smaller branches. This tree was about 40 years old from its rings but many others have been well over 100. The west side of the garden is roped off as they work their way through the wreckage.
Other than that a commute by train and (happy to see me) bike and the children are home for a few nights. Malcolm has gone to Scouts for the first time with Duncan so I'm sure they'll be hyper when they get home. Time to get Katie and Gordon settled before they crash through the door!
