Gateau Log

This is the chocolate gateau log (well, cake, but a different shape) my mum made for my dad's birthday today. It was very good.

I wonder if I'll ever become as good as my mum is at cooking, or as inventive. I guess I am inventive with my cooking ... but maybe in a slightly different way. And not necessarily good different! At least I'm the only one who has to eat my cooking for now.

Today, while listening to Foy Vance on Spotify, I reached the 5 plays limit per track for one of my favourite songs of his. It was rather gutting. I guess I'll have to buy myself the album at some point.
