Winter landscape, Hertfordshire.
Near Ayot St. Lawrence. I missed doing a blip yesterday! So I took a different route into work today, to avoid grinding along the A1 yet again.
The countryside looks good with the sun low in the sky, but it is very flat. The difficulty is trying to capture what I like about the gently rolling landscape without creating an image that looks drab and meaningless.
I thought the ploughed field would add a pattern leading up to the tree stark on the skyline with fluffy clouds contrasting with the man-made straight lines! A sort of fusion of stuff with a distinctly winter feel to it. All this whilst driving along, trying to keep an eye on the road and look for somewhere to stop to take a blip.....and get to work on time! So as so often it's a compromise, but I'm not unhappy with it.
Hope you all had a good day and my apologies for not blipping yesterday.
