Cranium

Today was my mum's birthday and my first day back working.

I have worked in this office before a while back, it's quite interesting with all the oil rigs and spotting some eye candy but it is flawed with me having to sit on a desk near my mum. Hey ho, i need the money.

First thing i was asked to do was to unplug 2 cables (a blue one and a grey one) from a phone and put the phone on another desk. I was told to make absolutely sure that i put the cables back in the right slots. So i did this but little did i realise that there was, in fact, two blue cables and i plugged the wrong one into the phone. This created an infinite loop on the network and i managed to crash the whole network for everyone local for about 2 hours.... go me. What an idiot - though i wasn't to know there was two blue cables and we did have a bit of a laugh about it.

They put me onto a job where i have to phone hundreds of trades men, like welders and pipefitters, and ask them if they are available for work and to get all their up-to-date documents on file... it's pretty tedious, but as i say - it pays and i sometimes get pretty good banter from the chaps on the phone especially when i stupidly pronounce their names wrong.... it's gunna be a long 2 weeks!

So the working day finally ended and my 3 older brothers had come over to my mums house to cook her some birthday din dins :) mmm cornbeef hash!
After dinner we played Cranium - if you have never played it, you should. It's a good game!

I'm so tired... bed time for me! another day of fun tomorrow....
