old Scarborough map

A blip from work today, of Helen Birmingham taking a close look at detail of the harbour area of old Scarborough on the Bawden Map, in Scarborough Library. Helen is the owner of the Studio Gallery in town, and has made a major donation towards the Friends of Scarborough Library restoration of the Map. When the map returns in the Spring, it will be displayed in the library's Concert Hall, instead of the hidden hallway where it is now hung.

View large, as the map is quite fascinating...if you know Scarborough.
