the veg box arrives

I love getting my weekly veg box, it's almost like getting a present (even when it's the thirty somethingth week in a row that you got swiss chard!). It also makes menu making easier because it's all got to be based around what came in the box. I know I'm more adventurous now I don't have the option of sticking to broccoli and carrots, too.
We used to get the box delivered to someone else's house in the village and I quite miss that - you'd often meet other veggie boxers when picking it up. I remember one night my daughter scornfully replied " do you think you're living in the Archers?" when I innocently remarked "I'll pick the veg box up on the way back from the parish council meeting". But the thing is, I was living in the Archers in a way because at the time one of the script writers lived in my village and real life events used to sometimes appear in the show!
