Queen Victoria!

I went to visit my friend in her new house, she has recently moved from a council flat on an estate (a very nice one too) to this house known as The Alms Houses they are listed buildings as they were once Queen Victorias, the house next door to this one Queen Victoria kept for herself apparently to greet her parishioners on a Sunday, these houses are set in private grounds and are beautiful,and opposite is such a lovely old church. I was just so fascinated at the history of these places! why on earth would the previous tenant want to move from such an Idyllic place? I shall definitely be visiting my friend a bit more often.
