Emotional over trees

WOW! I guess we'll see loads of these types of shots tonight, because it truly was a fantastic sunset! The colours in the sky were amazing and I think this shot really captures the display.

I've made some progress on part of my family tree today, after receiving birth and death certificates to some of the mysteries that I needed to resolve. Although I must admit I did get emotional about it, because it showed the death of my great, great, great grandfather in a coal mining accident, which left my great, great grandfather fatherless at only five years old.

It is fascinating researching the family tree, it gives you a glimpse into history but I can only imagine what the times were like.

One mystery partly resolved, I'm sure there are plenty more still to find.
