Thursday afternoon

I left work early for an appointment in the city today. It was fun to emerge from the metro still in the daylight and snap this photo.

This week is restaurant week in Washington. Restaurants offer a $35 three-course dinner menu. I went to Georgia Brown's with two friends. The restaurant is across the street from the newer McPherson Sq occupy protest. We could see the tents through the window. It felt funny to be in a posh restaurant (thanks to restaurant week) while the protesters are out in the cold. I wanted to have taken a picture of the camp, but it was too dark.
