Frosted dawn

Another superb dawn with a hard frost and a full moon. A fellow springer spaniel walker in the distance. On this morning's walk I decided that I would try my hand at making a cake - something I've never done before despite my mother being a cook (at one time in the royal household - not the presnt monarch). So before going to work I set about it. A very enjoyable process it was and a respectable looking chocolate sponge cake emerged and is now being devoured. Very satisfactory all round.
