Royal thrush

Great excitement (well, a little bit of inconvenience, in fact) when Princess Anne was to drive down the street where the Bone Dungeon is located this morning.

She was opening a new block of flats, no idea why; I didn't see her, anyway.

Went out for a lunchtime blipwander and spotted (Ha!) this thrush (Turdus philomelos), recently having commented to cabbagetree that one seldom sees them any more.

I didn't have the long zoom with me, but I liked the stark white tree against the sky.
