Splendour in the grass

Drove over the hill to Canterbury for a few days today. Weather on the Murch side was pretty miserable, although not as wet as it had been yesterday. But weather this side is sunny, warm and nor'wester blowing. Love it. Had just come through the Weka Pass when I saw the wind rustling all the dry grasses/hay and slammed on the brakes, pulled over and took a few shots. Not sure I did the scene justice - the breeze was making beautify ripples in the grasses but I chose this shot because of what looks like mini christmas trees grow in the fields (some noxious weed I think)
