Long shadows and frost

Despite being in hurry this morning, I found the time to stop and record the first hard frost of winter. The sky is still cloudless now at 2.30pm and there is a slight haze over the land which is the misty winter equivalent of a summer heat haze. Many of our days are grey but recently we have had some stunning skies. I love the gradation of colour in the sky on a day like this.
