For Paola

Paola and Mimmo were our lovely Italian neighbours in our previous apartment. The sweetest people ever and good friends to Mark and me. Paola sadly passed away last night after a short illness. She will be dearly missed and very fondly remembered as a vivacious, warm person, who always had a smile on her face. She fought her illness bravely and when we last saw her she was telling us about the tattoos she was considering to cover up the scars left from her operation! I shall always remember her so - sitting on the sofa, making us smile even in the most unlikely of situations.
