Asteroid
Well, I suppose you'd expect to find something otherworldly when you visit Half Moon Bay at Heysham. It was tempting to blip this morning's sunrise, but in the spirit of taking risks, I'm blipping something altogether more surreal.
Wifie had an appointment in Heysham so I wandered down to the Bay to watch the tide come in. The oystercatchers behind the asteroid are being pushed up by the tide. I added three new species to the 2012 bird list: turnstone, knot and dunlin, total now 85 species.
A quick blip tonight as we are in briefly before going out again. Thank you very much for all the stars, hearts and lovely comments on yesterday's. I will get round later to say hello and thank you.
