Frost Whale

If Blipfoto were Twitter, the frost would be trending today, at least in the UK.  

This has been the frost deep frost for weeks, and has reminded me just how mild our winter has been so far.

With frost as a nature-selected theme, it was just a question of finding the right context. I dabbled with frost on the garden wall, and the garden gate. Frost on sedum heads and delicate alpines.  In Hallcliffe Community Garden we found delicate frost flowers growing on heather, before finally settling on this frost whale.

With a bolt for an eye, and a mouth dangling with frost baleen, this creature would be at home in Antarctic waters.
