Basking

I managed to capture this cob basking in today's sweltering 14 degree midsummer heat.

Later on, it rained and as I write this it is still raining..

I came across a new phrase today: "Bum Nuggets" . It has a rather satisfying ring to it, and will become a useful stress-relieving expletive whenever there is a demand for the use of stress-relieving expletives. Which seems to be most of the time. I used to refer to them as "winnits" ( not sure whether that is spelt correctly).

Going South soon - I hope the weather is better down there. Up in Manchester, all we've had this week was a bit of sun on Monday evening. The rest was crap.
