Arley

Another beautiful, bright, sunny but cold day with clear blue skies.

We went for a walk around the Arley estate which took in the beautiful Arley Green and mill.

There was an army of metal detectorists sweeping their way across the fields. Not much in the way of finds. The oldest being a Queen Elizabeth 1 shilling from the 1500s.

The present Arley Hall stands on the site of the first house built there in 1469.

The nesh nellies were with me again today!

We walked till sunset.
