Sepia Smokey, 1106 hr

I like to get creative once in a while, and I hadn't investigated the digital filters on the K-5 that can add new effects to an existing image.

While I was sitting at my desk in the study this morning I noticed that Smokey had clambered onto the sloping conservatory roof from the far end and was sitting outside the window, surveying the scene from his high vantage point. I took a few shots of him through the window without him noticing before he wandered off to the single-storey roof of my bathroom extension.

I added two filters to the RAW image - High Contrast and Water Colour - before saving the image, copying it to the computer and playing about with it in FastStone software, increasing Saturation, Hue and Contrast and reducing Green (-16). I liked the final result but decided to go one extra stage and reduced the colour image to a Sepia monochrome and cropped it.
